New Views of CalArts

New Views of CalArts – “A Fiftieth Anniversary Field Guide”, a book of photographs made in April 2023 by Steve Weir, looking at how the CalArts campus had changed in the last fifty years. From the book introduction:

“It had been forty years since I walked around campus. Then, I was an explorer roaming around the new building, photographing the spaces, hallways, staircases, and people. Today, I felt like an archeologist looking at what has changed, been added, or vanished.”

Four-color printing gives the monochrome photographs a fine range. The book has 44 pages, 40 photographs, 8×8 inches, and perfect bound.

A portion of book sales will be donated to the R. John Bache Memorial Scholarship fund at CalArts.
